Cookies and preferences
How we use essential and analytics cookies and how to manage your preferences
This notice describes the cookies and storage technologies used by the PF Associates website. They are classified by purpose: operation and security for essential tools, and visit measurement for analytics.
The choice is yours
Essential tools remain available for the service you request. Analytics is off by default: scrolling or continuing to browse does not signify consent. Accepting and declining are equally easy. Closing the first banner with X keeps essential cookies only.
Your choice is stored in the browser for six months, together with the date and notice version. The banner may reappear if you clear cookies, after expiry, or after a material change to processing. We do not use a cookie wall.

| pfa-read-* (sessionStorage) | Analytics, optional | Local most-read count: a random identifier per article and tab; the server keeps a temporary hash to prevent duplicates. The counter does not record IP addresses. | Tab session, reused for no more than 30 minutes; server hash for 30 minutes. |
Google Analytics 4
When enabled, Google Analytics receives technical browsing data to produce statistics about page visits. We do not treat it as an essential cookie exempt from consent. The Google tag loads only after analytics is accepted; before a choice or after rejection, this integration sends no requests to Google, including cookieless signals.
The site disables Google Signals and advertising personalisation in its tag; it does not intentionally send names, email addresses, form messages, query strings, URL fragments or referrers. Data retention at Google is separate from cookie duration and depends on the Analytics property settings.
Google Analytics is currently disabled on this installation.
For information about processing by Google, recipients and international transfers, see the provider’s documentation and the firm’s Privacy Policy. Google Privacy Policy · How Google uses data from partner sites.
Change or withdraw
You may change your preference at any time. Withdrawal stops new measurements and removes the site’s Analytics cookies and local article identifiers from your browser; it does not automatically erase data transmitted before withdrawal.
